Kait and Frank’s Philadelphia wedding day was the kind that reminds me why I love photographing love stories so much. Kait got ready in her childhood home, and it was such a sentimental space to start the day. The walls held her parents’ own wedding portraits, and their album was set out too. Such a special reminder of the legacy of love in her family. One of my favorite moments of the entire day was when Kait’s 96-year-old grandmother slipped on her own wedding rings from her late husband for the occasion. The joy and emotion in her face made me tear up!
Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Saint Dorothy’s Parish, where friends and family gathered to witness them promise forever to each other. I love the tradition that comes with Catholic mass ceremonies. From there, everyone traveled over to Penn Oaks Golf Club for the reception. It was the perfect location from cocktail hour to celebrating late into the night!
It truly could not have been a more beautiful day! It felt like an Indian summer, a golden September afternoon full of warmth that lingered into the evening. The yellow tones woven throughout the wedding details mirrored Kait and Frank’s sunny personalities and made every photograph glow. From start to finish, their day was filled with joy, family, and so much love. I couldn’t be more grateful to have been there to document such a meaningful celebration for them.
Congratulations to the D’Alessandros!
