As a wedding photographer, some weddings become extra special in your heart. For me, this was definitely one of them! When I relocated my business down south, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it. I knew no one and no one knew me! So, when Kelly reached out about their wedding day and wanted to book – I may have cried a few happy tears for actual clients at a venue I only dreamed of shooting at! Throughout the whole process, Kelly began to feel much more like a friend than a client (which is my dream for every single one of my brides!) and by the time her wedding day came – I just could not wait to spend the day with her and celebrate her marriage to Wes! I truly could not adore these two more.
There were so many special elements involved in their wedding day that I could probably write a novel about it. But the overarching them that permeated through the day was the love of family. As you scroll through this blog post, you’ll see just a taste of some of the most beautiful invitations and signage – all done by Kelly’s sister Katie! (you should seriously hire her…she is incredible!!). Some of my favorite pieces that she did were the memorial signs for Wes’s late parents.
One of my favorite moments of the entire day was the special dance that Wes and his sister, Rachel, shared to a favorite song of their moms. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room and it was such a sweet and special moment. The whole day was truly one sweet and special moment after another. I wish that I could relive it over and over!
