Rachel & Sean didn’t let a little bit of rain get in the way of their beautiful wedding day at Lancaster Country Club! We were all so grateful when the rain cleared up in enough time for us to get out on the golf course for portraits. But, my favorite part of the day was the first look that we did on the deck of the country club while it was pouring. It definitely was out of my comfort zone as a photographer (it was a pretty dark area, with a big dark overhang), but the pure joy that Rachel and Sean had when they saw each other for the first time shined, even in a rainy situation. I always feel so honored to be a part of the first time that a couple sees each other on their wedding day – its the most beautiful, special, emotional moment. If you are planning a wedding, I highly recommend considering planning a first look for your big day! 

I also highly recommend bringing an ice cream truck to your reception! Rachel & Sean love Penny’s ice cream, so they had their portable ice cream stand show up as dessert. As an ice cream lover, I was overjoyed for the big scoop of black raspberry that I was able to end the day with. One of the best perks of being a wedding photographer? All the dessert, of course!
