Joely was a student at Saint Joseph’s University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when she met Joe. They spent a lot of their time while dating over in Manayunk – so it only made sense to have their engagement session at both of those locations.
These two are absolute troopers for the way that they handled the 10 degree day that we had for their session. It was totally worth braving the cold for their Saint Joseph’s University engagement session in the snow. The mixture of the beautiful architecture and the white snow made for the most picturesque backdrop. Add in that Joely and Joe had the best neutral, winter outfits to compliment the setting perfectly and you get beautiful, timeless photos!
I loved the matching tan coats that they both wore to really tie everything together. This is a great example of coordinating outfits, but not matching. The maroon skirt that Joely wore gave a perfect little pop of color without taking away from the overall neutral look of their outfits. And then, by keeping the rest of their outfits in the cream and tan family, they were able to achieve a very classy and elegant look.
I am so excited to be a part of their wedding day celebration at Moonstone Manor , in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, in June! Their summer wedding will definitely be a contrast to their chilly engagement photo session. I can’t wait to photograph them amongst green grass and flowers next time around!
