Last winter I met Liz! She inquired with me about wedding day photography and we ended up getting coffee together so that we could meet and talk about what it would look like for me to be a part of her day. I knew right away that we would be a good fit! This was all before we had any idea that the world was close to turning upside down.
At that time, Liz and her fiancé Mike were planning a big wedding at a popular venue in the Lancaster area. When the news of COVID hit, we were all so glad that their wedding was a whole year away and that it wouldn’t be impacted by any of the happenings (or so we thought!)
Since then, I was able to take engagement photos and also Christmas card photos of Liz and Mike (and their puppy Millie!). Through those sessions, I started to really become so excited for their wedding because these two are kind, genuine, and just so fun to be around!
When COVID stayed around way longer than anyone could have ever imagined, Liz and Mike had to switch directions for their big wedding. They navigated lots of changing, postponing, rethinking and replanning with a ton of grace – and ended up marrying on their original date, just not exactly how they originally planned. The big wedding that Liz and I chatted about over coffee turned into the most beautiful at-home wedding with their immediate family and best friends.
It was the biggest honor to be able to witness Liz and Mike become Mr. and Mrs. Camus and to see that despite all of the changes, the only thing that truly matters is that they are married now!
